Best things to resell for profit in 2026

Ranked by real margin, not hype. These are the categories full-time resellers actually live on — sourced from thrift stores, estate sales, and outlet clearance.

Margin matters more than ceiling. A $400 sneaker flip is great, but a reseller doing 50 vintage tee flips a month at $40 each clears more cash with less risk. Below: 30 categories, ranked into 4 tiers, with realistic price ranges and best platforms.

How to pick your category

  1. Knowledge first. Pick what you already know. You'll spot fakes and underpriced items 10x faster.
  2. Check sold comps. Use eBay's "Sold" filter for the last 90 days, not active listings.
  3. Match to platform. Sneakers go to StockX. Y2K fashion goes to Depop. Cards go to Whatnot. Don't list everything everywhere.
  4. Track from day one. Without cost basis logged, you won't know which category is actually paying you.
