How eBay fees work in 2026

eBay charges a final value fee on the total order — item price plus the shipping you charged the buyer. For most categories it's 13.25%, plus a flat $0.30 per order. Some categories (sneakers over $150, trading cards, jewelry) use different rates.

If you use Promoted Listings Standard, your chosen ad rate (typically 2–15%) is added on top, charged only when a buyer clicks an ad and buys within 30 days.

Payment processing is bundled into the final value fee under Managed Payments — there's no separate PayPal-style fee anymore.

The real-profit checklist

  • Track your landed cost (item + shipping to you)
  • Subtract eBay's final value fee on the full order
  • Subtract your outbound shipping label
  • Subtract packaging — even $1 adds up at volume
  • Add Promoted Listings only if the sale came from an ad
